Front Office Medical Assistant/Insurance Coordinator
Are attention to detail and problem-solving skills strong qualities you possess? The desired candidate is professional with extreme attention to detail, exhibits accuracy, takes pride in solving problems, and has strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills. Previous medical office experience is desired but we will train the motivated individual. Computer proficiency a must. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Friendly to both patients and peers who work as a cohesive professional team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting with verifying patient data, insurance eligibility, and prior authorizations. Learns to interpret patient ledgers to explain insurance payments and account balances. Posts patient payments and assists with collecting balances and calling patients regarding past due accounts. Works with speciality websites for patient benefits and assists patients with signing up for assistance programs. Assists with schedules, ordering and inventory of necessary medications. Scans patient and insurance information. Collects and processes copays and payments. Accurately document communications to the physicians or other co-workers. Willing to assist with front desk reception functions at least one day per week and as needed when staffing is needed. Use standard office equipment and phones. Ophthalmic Technician
Seeking a Technician or Medical Assistant to assist our Providers in the office by working up patients, performing diagnostic tests, documenting results. Duties include, but are not limited to: greeting and intake of patients with regards to the medical record, surgical coordination, refractions, communicating with the physicians, other technicians, and lab technicians.
